  1. WILDSURVIVE @ The Movies

  Ok campies, here's a little place that we can discuss everything we want to discuss about movies. For instance M. Night Shyamalan. Now he absolutely hit the nail on the head with wacky078.gif The Sixth Sense. I loved that movie and the whole "I see dead people" thing. Plus, the kid in the movie made the whole thing work. Not so much for Bruce Willis, that could have been cast to anyone. Big thumbs up for THAT one! Then the one he made, Signs, the one with Joaquin Phoenix with a tin foil hershey's kiss on his head? Ok, liked the story, but c'mon do some friggin research man! Remember the part where M. (making a cameo appearance) says he has one of the aliens locked in the house? So Mel Gibson goes in the house, looks under the door, and sure enough there's an alien locked in the cupboard. Ok, think about it, these aliens have the technology for time/space travel, but they can't get out a locked door? It wasn't even a deadbolt either! And another hole in the plot was the fact that these aliens were killed by water AND they land in the midwest (well, all over the world apparently) but in the midwest, the humidity is like 80%! So, is it just water in liquid form that kills them? But they can breathe and exist with water vapor in the atmosphere? Nice story line, but plug the holes! Then Bill Hurt, and man was his acting really Hurt, in The Village..... gen140.gif  Then comes Lady in the Water........    and then the last twist of the knife in the gut.....I take my kids to go see The Last Airbender. So my kids are into this series and they complained about how crappy this movie was the entire drive home, and continued the conversation well past dinner. AND, it wasn't like my two boys were arguing about any of it, they were AGREEING with each other about how crappy it was! My oldest (12years) even says, "Dad, we can tell the movie theater guy that the movie wasn't even close to being like the series, we can ask the manager back for your money and tell him we were "frauded" (sic). happy097.gif Ok, this should get things started..........this is a thread where we want your two cents!
  2. What's For Dinner Tonight?

 Well, since we have such a diverse bunch of campers here at WildSurvive, I thought I'd start a thread of what we are all going to make for dinner. It doesn't have to be any special meal, it can be the everyday too. I thought this would be a good recipe exchange thread. I'll start the first post....
  3. Here’s a little gun porn for Kbob. On the left is a highly customized 1911 with Pachmeyer grips and a flared receiver for speed loading and on the right is a trusty 1911 “gold cup” Here’s a pic of the flared receiver Here’s a close up of the gold cup…. Here is a .22 HI STANDARD….or what I like to call my “KGB Assassinator.” On the bottom is a Mitchell Arms “9mm Luger”. Here’s a couple Walther PPK’s. The top one is 9mm and the bottom .22. I like the grips on the .22 the best. Here’s a couple more I had to take out of the “dust” shelf to give them a fresh cleaning. On the top is a Colt King Cobra .357 mag and the bottom is a .9mm with extended barrel for competition and at the very bottom is a Spreewerks WWII P-38. I’ve been trying to off-load that P-38 for quite a while now, especially since it’s pretty rare to have a working original holster with it. Kbob, you HAFTA shoot that custom 1911. You’ll drool yourself into a frenzy! This is a fraction of the arsenal.
  4. Thank you all at this forum for being a part of my life for quite a few years. Most of us gathered because of Les, and Les, if you ever come back here, I hope you read this. We gathered together because of a commonality we all had, and that was because we all wanted to learn about survival. Not only wilderness survival but survival in life... We all have situations in our lives that lend to bringing out the core instincts in human nature, worry, fear, happiness, sorrow, but it all leads to an instinct that gathers us. No matter the difference in gender, race, or any other differences we have, when crisis occurs, none of our prejudices matter, we gather as a race, and that race is human. I'm moving on to other things in life, and sadly, want to announce to all of my friends here at wildsurvive that I'm no longer going to be a member of wildsurvive.com. The owner of this website has expressed his concern that I'm a problem maker here and he has decided to recsind my status as an administrator, and/or moderator because he feels that I am a threat to this website because of my lack of responsibility as an administrator. I thank you all who have contacted me over these few months in my absence on WS.

Don't know quite yet, they're still in process. They grow stem cells and then insert them (I guess the best way to describe it is like "hair plugs" for the brain). I go back down there the end of next week for a little while. My sister and I have been taking turns. Of course, she's done most of it. Razor, my boys' are in football too and man, it is CRAZY! But it's all worth it!

It's just been busy lately. I have spent a lot of time at my parent's house. My dad went through a experimental brain surgery to help him with his parkinson's disease. So going back and forth, working full time, single parenting, etc. etc.....I just needed a sabbatical from all things online.

I am SO SICK of these angry chef shows! What happened to GOOD tv?!?!? I think I need to get on one of those shows wielding COMBATULA.
  20. Campfire Talk

LOL! Yesssss....I forgot, the all versatile tactical wheelbarrow! I'm sure there was a McGuyver episode upon which a thermo-nuclear device was diffused with pepperoni bread and mountain dew. Maybe it was foccaccia bread, it was a while ago.

Well, the 2nd amendment was to protect ourselves from a tyrant government. Back then they had muskets, and so we had muskets too. Now, they have attack helicopters, ballistic missiles, jet fighters, cluster bombs, special forces hunter-killer teams, and we have...........muskets. :scared:
