I'm great! Been pretty busy recently. How have you been?
-
I swear it has been YEARS since I've been on these forums! It has to have been three years at least! It feels so good to be back here - I'm amazed that this thread was one of the first four or five on the forum. I'd like to say hello again to two of my old friends, Holly and Swede. I also remember Taken (not sure if she's still here?) and a couple other names look familiar.

Both. I've been in choir for 3 yrs. and playing piano for 5.

Pouch/Kit Help - Plans?
survivordan replied to survivordan's topic in BUSHCRAFT AND WILDERNESS SURVIVAL IN GENERAL
Good point. I have the leather and artificial sinew. I made a nice rectangular pouch out of some soft 2-3 oz. leather from rendezvous. Its about as long as my hand from the middle of my wrist to my fingertips, and about 6 fingers high. How do you like my anatomical measurements? -
LOL!! Havent been on in a while. SO BUSY with music. I like this new spelling check feature.

I finished carving the spindle and fireboard. I really like my origional handhold (Cherry) so I'm using that. When the snow melts I'll be able to find a bow, and I might even steam bend it to specifications that I like.

Just bought four fuel canisters for my stove from REI and a flannel shirt for old time camping from Cabelas! Oh the fruits of Christmas giftcards !!
-
I've juggled with that idea, too. Still deciding.
-
Oh. Were you talking about the tent? I could do that too.
-
Sure! I'll take notes as I do it then maybe post a chronological journal-style thingy with the factual information.

Didnt get to work on it yesterday. It was an all day blizzard. I should be able to today, though! Working on patterns for a canvas Forester Tent. Then I have to buy the canvas. And get someone to sew it up. And waterproof it. And test it out (I'll do that).

LOL, if I get around to learning to. Unfortunately, I probably won't.
