~ There's NO such thing as a "flu bug".  Influenza A virus is fever, chills, body aches, runny nose, sore throat, coughing, sneezing, stomach upset (usually vomiting only). You feel like shit, and you are pretty much on your ass for five days or more.

Noro virus is vomiting, diarrhea, and body aches that are severe, but only last about two to three days.

I'm felling better? Greetings from Santee South Carolina.

The bucks are scraping That means the rut has begun. More deer are showing up here. I dont think we have near as many as the last few years. Complications with Sharens eyes. It could have been from the radiation around her eyes we will know more Wed at the Illinois eye center in Peoria. Tomorrow were back to St. Francis in Peoria for more radiation. I took my four wheeler around to Swedes neighbors and him and member Sonny and I rode down into my north bottom and up on the ridge yesterday.

Good to see you back on Mr. Hiker! Life seems to get in the way of fun doesn't it. I was up your way a couple of weeks ago. Did a little hiking near the Red Deer River just outside of Red Deer.

That's an awesome area...I helped a friend move his sister there in the summer...from her back door she is a stones throw to some great trails!

What brought u up here?

Good morning! Internal clock must be running a little fast this morning I beat my alarm clock by 30 mins. That gives me some time to catch up on the news and stuff though. Hope everyone is ready for the coming week. Log on the fire for now.

What a great weekend.  Saturday we took the cubs to one of the big pumpkin farms (Bloomsbury in Atkins).  Lots of fun and the kids sure had a blast and wore themselves out.  Then Sunday morning we watched my middle boys last baseball game of the year, The boys did great, they were playing a team from a Huge Iowa city school and our little team beat them 5 to 4 and they didn't have a coach!  The coach had an emergency, and the guys just played the game entirely on their own with no adults.  They had a ball, it was pretty cool to watch and a great way to end the season.  Then My youngest had his soccer game, I have to say soccer is the absolute most fun sport to coach for the K-5th grades.  The kids have so much fun.  I have so much fun!  LOL

We have a fight on our hands for sure. We just like to keep our friends up to date and  your prayers help. Four new outbreaks on Sharens face so more weeks of spot radiation. We have an appointment with a cornea specialist Wednesday morning so we will find out more then. There are no options other then fight. She remains in good spirits and is enjoying her retirement and loves her home on the farm.Shes got flowers planted every where. We have the best medical team available that are watching and learning as things progress. This form of cancer is very rare.
