I have made quite a few of them in different sizes.  They are pretty cool.  Kind of a fun project.

I ended up making one of these stoves, they would be great in a survival situation, but they are just too small for everyday use.

Take any pictures?

I found out isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol ) doesnt work as well as denatured alcohol. Too much water in 70% isopropyl. There is 99% though that will work. Be sure its 99%.

I was using the 70% stuff that may have been part of the problem. It sure is tough to see the flame in bright conditions.  I didnt even realize it was burning until I felt the heat.  I will try  denatured  and see if that works any better.

I don't understand the term "denatured"

Denatured means making unfit to drink.  With laboratory grade 100% ethanol, it usually has some traces of the organic fraction that was used to remove the remaining water.  This makes it undrinkable.  With less pure grades, I think they add gasoline or maybe benzene.
