it wasn't winter... or very cold (just above freezing, actually)... and the tarp is not everybody's choice for cold conditions... and that almost therapeutic footage is not my usual kind of vid... but there's a valid tip for sleeping in cold in this one:

Awesome post Swede as usual do  you or does anyone know were I could purchase just the gortex bivy alone in the us like Minnesota I  have tried several surplus stores no luck

Just got a Marmot Limelight 2P. This winter will be my first experience with a tent and sleeping bag. Little extra weight to carry but should be worth it.
