~ I've come to a conclusion looking at everybody's camping and outdoor pics on this site. I think we like to go  camping just to cook and eat lots of meat over an open fire.

I eat better and sleep better outside then I do the rest of the year.

~ is that why you used to sleep out on your balcony?  (until your roomates locked you out that time cause they forgot you were out there?)  :P

~   Dang....  to bad your tennis balls got all tangled up in hot pursuit.  :smoke:

I hate when that happens. We tried swatting them with a broom handle. Had to go up a ladder with a saw.  :o

At least they didn't tangle up on the power line.

Tofu over an open fire just doesn't cut it.

Reminds me of my kids fishing in the trees down by the river for birds LOL

Great trip.  Got my first outing this weekend (Finally, I'm soooooo far behind).

That hunk of ham steak has me freakin drooling  (I skipped breakfast this morning).

Some really cool shots here. Looks like a lot of fun outdoors.

Yeah...pretty much any meat cooked over a fire tastes better than on a stove!

Tofu over an open fire just doesn't cut it.

I've yet to find a place where tofu does actually cut it...

As a garnish maybe?  LOL  Even then, I'd rather see a bacon garnish  :D

I have been put in charge of the dinner menu for the campout this year.

I need suggestions for the grossest, nastiest looking food I can cook over a fire.

How about Gagh?  Very little cook time needed.

Gagh sounds gross but may be hard to cook on a campfire. Also where do i get Klingon bloodworms at this time of year? On the right track though.

Mallowdogs sounded gross until I looked them up.

I need some epic roadkill.

I hear Klingon bloodworms are pretty hardy. Have you checked on eBay?

I just found a tasty recipe for woodchuck chilli. Mmmmm.

I'm making another batch of Wildberry sauce tonight. I was surprised at how well the first batch kept. Garlic bannock was suggested this morning so I'm making a test batch. Shoo-fly pie on Wednesday. I was worried about transporting it down to Virginia but I learned that Shoo-fly is pretty sturdy.
