Cats

Recommended Posts

I have a weakness for them.  Especially fuzzy ones.

Have you ever noticed that any cat you ever owned (hah) was schizophrenic?  They all are.

My catas <-- I will leave this as written so you can see what I am putting up with.  Fuzzy is half on my lap, half on my keyboard.

Just like babies, it is a good thing they are adorable... because they are utterly self-centered.

Heck, Fuzzy is so self-centered, all she says is:

"Me"

My Cat Lucifer wasn't Self-Centered one bit. Yes he was a Black Cat with yellow eyes, and a single white whisker while the rest were black. He also had a red-orange tint to his fur when he was in direct sunlight. He earned his name when he was a Kitten as the people that owned his mother didn't do a thing to socialize him. He turned into a Bucket of Love as he grew up.

My Grand Egg Donor's Persian Cat Orion was a whole different story together. He was a little Bundle of Arrogance, and that's putting it mildly. I picked him up one day to take him inside and the little bastard clamped down on my handle and went to town. I had to run up to the house and slam him against it to get him to let go. My hand and part of my forearm looked it got into a fight with a String Trimmer.

Yup my cat liked to walk across my key board. He actually found me a great porn site once. When I took the poor guy to the vet they had a couple of cats living in the office and they had the same problem with them walking across the key board.

Thats why the saying "Tougher then herding cats" was invented.

I can't remember who said it but, "I believe there are many intelligent species in the universe, and they are all owned by cats."

One of our "brilliant" cats was stalking a bird at the base of the tree in the back yard, got close...ready to pounce....SPRING!  Cat bolts at the bird, bird flies, going behind the tree...cat is locked on the bird, adjusts mid-pounce....BAM...kittie hits the tree.

Fuzzy can drive me crazy inna morning.  I get up at oh-dark thirty, and Herself two hours later.

Yeah... but I will be sittin' inna living room, reading.  Fuzzy sees the door to the bedroom is closed.

No prob:  Smart cat can open doors.  Jumps up, pulls the handle down and pushes -- all in one movement.  This awakens Herself.

(*sigh*)

I had a cat that probably weighted less than ten pounds, but between the time when it jumped of our headboard and the time it landed on the waterbed I was sleeping on it gained forty pounds.

I know how that feels, Freebirde!  :D  Ours would use me for a trampoline if I tried to take a nap in the love seat under the big front window.  She was getting into or out of that window right now, and the fastest way always seemed to be across my belly!
