My Favorite EDC Fire Startin System (nano XL)

Recommended Posts

Well, several of you know about the nanostriker fire starter by Exotac, and several of you know I carry a nanostriker with me always. I know that ssome of you guys see it as a bit small for your liking. Well, if you wished it was a little bigger, had a larger ferro rod, and had a larger striker then there is a nano for you now. Exotac just released the new nano XL. The housing is the same length as the original but larger in diameter, has a 1/4" diameter rod, and has a larger striker. I just got one yesterday so I haven't done anything with it yet, but I'll be checking it out tomorrow. Also, for the ones who were put off by the original (other than the Ti model) being imported, the XL is made in the U.S..

Here is a short slideshow of the XL and video of it in use with organic tinder materials.

I like that one. Looks good.

ESEE is suppose to be coming out with a new one also.

Thanks Tonk, definitely an improvement over the original.

Yeah, it is supposed to be coming out soon, looking forward to it myself.
