The forecast looks to be breezy with lows in the mid 30's which is warmer then the past two February campouts. By saying this I just assured the storm of the century to happen. As this is car camping, I have the fall back shelter AKA the car itself. Is that cheating?

The power company was clearing the lines this week so I helped myself to some dry kindling.

An assortment of fire starters

Dry pine tinder bundle. I have a bag of dry pine to add to it. When the bundle is ignited the needles will act like a match head and light the branches.

Cat tail fluff as the first stage of ignition which will then set off the dry pine tinder bundle.

WEATHER UPDATE! WEATHER UPDATE WEATHER UPDATE! WEATHER UPDATE! WEATHER UPDATE! WEATHER UPD

At 3:00 PM FIRE IN THE HOLE! was almost canceled due to bad weather. At 4:00 PM everybody had called everybody and decided that the trip was still on. At 6:00 PM the camp has now moved into cabins at the same location.

This is a lot of work for a relaxing weekend.

Don't disown me. I'll star posting tonight. I got home late and was up early. Now playing catch up at work.

The various rogues, campers and scallywags that make up the east coast contingent have named themselves
