Put them to bed at night. That means go out before dark and listen. They do a lot of racket just before bed time then go out before daylight near that spot and wait. If a gobbler has hens with him he wont come to a call. If hes a bachelor he will come running to a hen squawk. Forget the gobbler call it never worked for me. Sit on the ground with your back to a tree with something in front of you. They got eyes way above any thing else if seen. They seem to see form more then movement but limit movement when their coming in. When a Jake or gobbler comes running its call HOT.

When a gobbler has hens he will sometimes come part way towards you but will stop. Thats called "hang up". Sometimes Ive split the distance towards him by moving carefully. The best luck Ive had is to find a choke point where the timber narrows and just sit and wait. They move constantly all day long. You may not hear any all day long but  tomorrow they may be back. They seem to move out of an area for maybe two days then come back.

The hen works great. Ive never used a jake but it should bring the gobblers in to chase him away. The decoys give the gobblers something to draw their attention away from you. A camo face mask is a good idea also.
