AC Custom Kydex Holsters

Recommended Posts

After I got my second Smith & Wesson M&P40 I was looking for something new as far as holsters go.  I decided it was time to try out a kydex holster since I've heard a lot of good things about them.  On Facebook another guy I know posted a link to AC Custom Kydex Holsters, a little company out of Alabama run by Adam Cooper.

I got one of his OWB (outside the waistband) holsters.  You can choose your options of belt width, cant, color, right hand/left hand and with or without a sweat guard.  I got the olive drab with a slight cant with 1 1/2" loops.  Turn around was fairly quick, about a week and a half.  The cost--including shipping--was $55.  I really like this holster alot!  I got it on my day off last week (Wedensday) around 10am and immediately tried it out and wore it with the pistol for the next 5 hours.  I always thought that kydex might be uncomfortable but this is the most comfortable holster I've ever worn.  It also holds the pistol close against the body and is pretty snug on the gun without being really difficult to draw.  The cant is just about perfect for me (I carry right behind the hip at about 4 o'clock).
