It is interesting to look at the antlers and find all the gouges, scrapes and other marks from the battles he has been through. My first deer scores out as a 7 pt, but field dressed out at about 170 pounds. One of the brow tines is broken and two others had grown together. It has all kinds of marks on the rack, so that one had been hard at it a while. When we dressed it out, there were two small strips of fat along each side of the tail. The rest was all lean.
