Green River knife kit came yesterday. Power tools, epoxy, sharp objects. What could go wrong?

I’ve cord wrapped the handle until I have my tools and work space organized.

great pictures muddy how did you get the knife into the wood

Thanks Kim. I drilled a whole in the handle wood. Put the blade tip down in log and tapped on the back of the handle until it seats on the tang. It cracked the wood on the side. I filled it in with filler and Gorilla glue. Skippy Jr. will be better.

Great effort Muddy thanks.  :arigato:

Thanks Swede. They're a little out of order. I finally managed to get Photobucket to cooperate.

I’ll sleep well tonight.

These cabins across the road are heated but that’s not camping. When it’s in the low 20’s tonight and down pouring, I’ll rethink that statement.

Thursday AM. Last night it down poured. The Coleman is kaput. The camp wood is wet. Oatmeal over the lantern, nachos and Canada Dry for breakfast. The powdered milk is missing as is the bacon and sausage. I suspect foul play. Sam???

Friday morning at midnight I woke up to gunshots in the woods. At 1AM I woke up to motorcycles on drag racing around the camp ground. 6:30 AM. Then I went to work.

awesome trip Muddy.  I like the haircut

We talked about shaving our heads on the campfire. It was worth scaring the crap out of my neighbor.

Looks like a great trip, Muddy.  Try using wire or green vines on the fire torch.  It will hold up longer.

And is that all the knives and axes you took along? ???

Thanks OFG. Yep, wire or vines is definitely a good idea. No, I had a few others. The set in the picture were the one's I used.
