Recommended Posts

How many actualy seek out and catalogue animal/bird they encounter in the wilds?

Do you keep a photo album of them?

Do you keep field notes?

Photograhy also becomes part of the study.  Watching how one animal plays for hours (what we perceive as playing).  How one bird endeavors to feed the babies over and over, then you realize, there are two birds feeding the babies.  You have seen a slight distinction in movement or coloration.  Perhaps the sounds are slightly different or the way they approach the nest.

Studying animal behavior is very intriguing, but takes patience and time, lots of time.  After identifying an animal, bird, insect, or reptile, take the time to read about it, learn everything you can.  Appreciate what gifts we have be given in the creations around us.
