The most important thing

Recommended Posts

Safety, safety, safety!!!!!!!!

Remember 911 doesn't work very well in the bush. THINK before you do things, one misstep could be deadly.

Pay attention to your surroundings, watch were you step. The smallest injury while alone can become a life or death sittuation, shock is very hard to treat by yourself

So be aleart and anticipate danger.

Then do it with your whole heart, mind and soul.

Take every opportunity that comes along, go down every path, stare at the fire, smell the smoke

and dream/remember, hold your sweatheart tight  :loveu:

paddle that river, wade the swamp, feel that hot loon s**t seep through your toes, the stink in your nostrils

gaze at the moon but also at all that heavenly splendour,

break bread and share a drink with a friend,

make memories....live free!!!!!!

YES!  That is why that show with Bear G. isn't so good - it makes it look like climbing down cliff faces is the smart thing to do.  Trouble is, there are no hospitals in the wild.

yes, safety is first.  I remember one time a kid cut his leg during a white-water-rafting trip. Luckily we were able to bring him to the rangers house and got him fixed up.  But tht could taken him to the hospital.  and could have been life threatening if he were alone or with only 1 other person.
